What is shocking from this interview is the amount of trash that we produce. I find this to be very interesting that each person in America makes 7 pounds of trash a day. It's shocking that Humes took the time to do all this research. He states the each American makes 102 tons of trash a year. 25 percent of trash that goes into the landfill can be recycled. He states that it would be better to burn the trash rather then burying the trash because it is better on the environment. Humes seem to know exactly what he is talking about which grabs my attention even more.
