Garbage is big business and we see this in this chapter. Humes interview a few people in this chapter about the landfills and many said that they like the landfills and they are not going to go anywhere. The garbage business beings in tons of money. Humes shows us thos by talking about the waste management inc company. Which beings in millions of dollars daily. I found this to be very interesting being that we produce tons and tons of trash.
The creatation of the plastic. The worst creatation that mankind could have ever created. I found it interesting that this material does not decompose back into the earth and it absorbs chemicals when in yhe ocean and it causes a chain reaction and effects us as a human race.
We were very dirty people back in the old days. Which in resulted in huge plagues such as the Black Plagues, which killed millions of ppl in a short point of time due the trash that filled the streets. I liked the way he talked about the different methods to clean the trash.
Great opening the book seem very interesting so far. By far one of the smoothest books I have every read and has my full interest. I find it very interesting the research that Humes collected to write this book about Garbology. Its surprising the amounts of trash that we accumulate on the daily bases and in a lifetime.
