A team of college student came together along with other scientist to conduct a study of all the plastic in the sea. Which was called SEAPLEX (Scripps Environmental Accumulation of Plastic Expedition) This study showed how dangerous the plastic can be to animal life and human life. About 5.6 million tons of plastic ends up in the sea causing major harm to the marine life. This is very heart braking and scary because most of the world food come from the marine life in the ocean. And we are careless and not trying to make a change about this.
